Learn several variations of the Cossack Squat (sometimes called the Side Lunge, Archer Lunge, or Skandasana in yoga). This movement will grow a stronger and more mobile lower body whether you're using just your bodyweight or using additional resistance to load the movement. A great exercise to use for a deeper squat and working towards the middle splits.
